On 5 March, Voronezh State Agricultural University, one of the universities in the RAFU Consortium, hosted the 3rd International Youth Festival of National Cultures, 'Pieces of the World', dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The festival was organised by Voronezh State Agricultural University with the assistance of the Department of Education and Youth Policy of the Voronezh City Administration.

The festival is organised with the aim of strengthening Russia's friendly ties with foreign countries, as well as bringing together young people of different nationalities.

The event was attended by representatives and foreign students from Voronezh State University, Voronezh State Agrarian University named after Emperor Peter I, Voronezh State Technical University, Voronezh State Institute of Arts, Voronezh State Forestry University, Voronezh State Pedagogical University, Russian University of Justice, and Voronezh Institute of High Technologies. We are very pleased with the active participation of African students in the event.


The festival programme was attended by Acting Rector Anna Voronina, Acting Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Natalya Derkanosova, Acting Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work and Youth Policy Olga Ageeva, Natalya Zyryanova, Chief Specialist of the Youth Affairs Department of the Education and Youth Policy Administration of the Voronezh City District, as well as representatives of the international services of participating universities. In her address, Natalya Mitrofanovna welcomed the participants and guests of the festival, emphasising the importance of the event and congratulating everyone on the upcoming International Women's Day.


Foreign students from the city's leading universities took part in an exhibition of national cultures, presenting traditional desserts, national clothing and symbols of the countries participating in the event. The participants also performed in the festival's concert programme, presenting talented and colourful creative performances.




The festival featured competitions in three sports: 3x3 basketball, shooting, darts, and, finally, tug-of-war. Tug-of-war has always been considered a spectacular sport, which was proven by the teams at the end of the festival, demonstrating a vivid and exciting game.




The competition was truly intense, as it required maximum effort. The competitions took place in a warm, friendly, festive atmosphere, and the winners and runners-up were awarded certificates.
