Educational meeting at Abdou Moumouni University opens new opportunities for Nigerien students in Russia

An important educational meeting was held at Abdou Moumouni University with the support of the Russian House of the Center for Public Diplomacy in Niger, attended by representatives of RAFU, Russian universities, and the Association of Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities. The event was attended by university administrators, students, and graduates to discuss the prospects of studying in the Russian Federation.

Since November 2024, the Russian House, in collaboration with Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU), has been offering preparatory courses for Nigerian students. Forty students are already awaiting visa invitations to continue their studies at NSTU, and around 30 people are receiving assistance with paperwork through the Education in Russia platform.

Participants were given detailed information about various ways to apply for Russian scholarship programs: through the Education in Russia platform, preparatory department, NSTU Olympiad, and Open Doors competition. In addition, educational programs offered by Novosibirsk State Technical University, Kuban State University, and Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University were presented.

Particular attention was drawn to the teleconference with Sergey Chernov, Vice-Rector of NSTU, Daria Borovikova, Secretary of the Admissions Committee, and Maxim Zalivsky, Head of the Project Office of the Russian-African Network University (RAFU). Graduates of Soviet and Russian universities shared their successful experiences and emphasized the high level of Russian education.
