Alassane Issa Maïga, head of the school complex and the University of Biya de Niamey (Bamako, Republic of Mali), visited Moscow. As part of his visit, he completed an internship at the Institute of the Russian Language of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN).
The program was aimed at familiarizing him with the university's educational system, the cultural life of Moscow, and strengthening academic and international cooperation.
During the internship, Alassane Issa Maïga took part in a number of educational and cultural events. He attended Russian language classes and a training session on the sociocultural adaptation of international students, learned about the history of the university at the RUDN History Museum, and also participated in the festivities dedicated to Maslenitsa.
Alassane Issa Maïga also met with Natalia Vladimirovna Pomortseva, Director of the Institute of the Russian Language. The meeting addressed issues related to teaching Russian as a foreign language, the specifics of training international students, and prospects for academic cooperation.


The guest was offered a rich cultural program: a sightseeing bus tour of Moscow, a visit to the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, a tour of the Kremlin grounds and the Armoury Chamber, a walk at VDNH, as well as a concert by the Moscow Cossack Choir.
Working meetings were an important part of the visit. Alassane Issa Maïga met with M.O. Rekets, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and also learned about the activities of the International Center for Continuing Education of the Digital Preparatory Faculty (DPF). The center's tutor, Daria Sergeeva, conducted a workshop for the guest on working with the DPF educational platform.
In addition, the program included a meeting with Malian students of the university, as well as a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Mali in the Russian Federation.


The internship allowed Alassane Issa Maïga to become more familiar with the educational and scientific environment of the university and to discuss prospects for further cooperation between educational institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Mali.
