Educational and cultural-historical events within the framework of the RAFU-2025 Summer Multidisciplinary University (LMU-2025) were successfully completed at St. Petersburg State Agrarian University.

The program brought together representatives from Côte d'Ivoire and the Republic of Mali, contributing to the strengthening of international cooperation in the field of agricultural education and science. The delegation from Côte d'Ivoire, organized by the country's Russian-speaking association, included representatives from the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, the Prime Minister's Office, and the president of the Union of Agricultural Producers. The visit was aimed at studying advanced Russian technologies and experience in the field of animal husbandry. The program included a round table discussion on "Animal Husbandry. Genetics. Breeding. Establishing industrial livestock farming in Côte d'Ivoire."

Participants actively discussed pressing issues, including the restoration of cattle herds, embryo transfer, biomaterial storage, and feed supply. The educational program included lectures on current trends in the agro-industrial complex:

  1. "Technology for obtaining cattle embryos in vitro, experience of application in practical animal husbandry";
  2. "Modern technologies in agrochemistry. Assessment of soil fertility";
  3. "Engineering of the agro-industrial complex at the present stage."

An important part of the program was a visit to the Agroruss International Agricultural Exhibition at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Center. The delegation was joined by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and advisors from the Embassy of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire in Moscow.

The guests learned about the achievements of the Russian agro-industrial complex and took part in a round table discussion entitled "Assisted reproductive technologies in animal husbandry. Development vector in Russia."

For practical familiarization with agricultural activities, participants visited Prinevskoye Breeding Plant CJSC and the Federal Selection and Genetic Center for Fish Farming (FSGC, a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Glavrybvod) in the village of Ropsha, Leningrad Region. Here, they were shown the practical aspects of modern fish farming and breeding work.

The cultural and historical component of the program allowed guests to familiarize themselves with the scientific and educational facilities of SPbGAU, including its branded lecture halls and soil museum. Delegates were given a sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg and visited the Catherine Palace in Pushkin.

The LMU-2025 program concluded with a final roundtable discussion, where participants shared their impressions and the results they had achieved during the training. All foreign guests received certificates of completion for the advanced training course "The Agro-Industrial Complex of the Russian Federation."

The President of the African Pastoralists' Union of the Department of Livestock and Agriculture of the High Traditional Council and Leaders of Africa (HATCLA API), His Majesty the Sovereign Ding II Cisse Seydou, expressed his gratitude to RAFU – Russia African Network University for the exemplary reception of the delegation, as well as for the high quality of theoretical and practical training in the field of mechanization and industrialization.

"We were impressed by the Russian model, which proved to be more compatible with our African realities than the models of other European, Asian, or American countries that we had visited previously. It is with great satisfaction that we return to the land of our ancestors, Africa, and in particular to our homeland, Côte d'Ivoire. This rich program has contributed to the organization of an urgent meeting in Congo (DRC), scheduled for November 2-5, 2025, with the traditional authorities of Africa. The purpose of the meeting is to identify prospects for development and cooperation between our homeland, Africa, and the Russian Federation, in particular for the implementation of a pilot project in Côte d'Ivoire.
