In February 2026, students from Mali who are currently studying at Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) visited the Russia National Centre for an interactive tour in French titled “Journey Across Russia.”

Since 2025, nine universities of RAFU have been participating in the reform of higher education in the Republic of Mali. As part of this project, Moscow Aviation University oversees the field of space technology and satellites. Students are trained at MAI as part of a cooperation programme supported by Glavkosmos and the National Geospatial and Space Agency of Mali.

During the tour, the students explored Russia’s key achievements in science, technology, culture, and industry. The interactive format allowed them to engage with multimedia exhibitions, digital installations, and presentations highlighting the country’s development and innovation.

Special attention was given to the diversity of Russian regions. The participants learned about the geographical features, cultural heritage, economic strengths, and unique traditions of different parts of the country — from major metropolitan areas to remote regions rich in natural resources and history.

The tour, conducted entirely in French, provided an excellent opportunity for international students to deepen their understanding of Russia in a comfortable language environment. The visit also encouraged intercultural dialogue and strengthened educational ties.

The students shared positive impressions, noting the modern format of the exhibition and the informative presentation of materials. The visit became not only an educational experience but also an important step in strengthening international friendship and cooperation.
