Tambov State Technical University, an active participant in the RAFU Consortium, hosted a meeting of students and graduates from African countries, organized as part of the activities of the TSTU Foreign Graduates Association. The event brought together representatives from eight African countries and became a unique platform for open communication and experience sharing.

The event was opened by Elena Mishchenko, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at TSTU, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between generations of graduates. During the event, the following guests of honor delivered their welcoming remarks online: Paulus Sheeteka from Namibia, Vice President of the Association of Russian Graduates in Namibia and Head of Lightside Technology, and Merchela Vassim from Algeria, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Mascara.

The central part of the meeting was devoted to speeches by African graduates of TSTU, who shared their experiences of studying, building careers, and living in Russia and their home countries. Representatives from Cameroon, Algeria, Congo, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, and Mozambique shared their success stories.

Among them were graduate and undergraduate students from the university, engineers from construction and IT companies, teachers, employees of large enterprises such as Rusagro, and even a fitness trainer from St. Petersburg. Each of the speakers talked about their unique journey: from student life in Tambov to professional fulfillment in Russia and Africa.

The highlight of the event was a question and answer session, during which current students had the opportunity to talk to graduates. Participants discussed not only career paths and the peculiarities of education in Russia, but also the richness of Russian culture, which has become an integral part of life for many. Speakers from Africa expressed their love and respect for Russian traditions and mentality. It was particularly noted that graduates and students from Africa share and support the traditional values of Russia, as formulated by the country's president.

Following the meeting, graduates from Namibia, Cameroon, Algeria, Congo, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, and Mozambique joined the ranks of the TSTU Foreign Alumni Association.
