Summer Multidisciplinary University RAFU 2025

One of the main activities of RAFU is the implementation of the Summer Multidisciplinary University of RAFU, consisting of short-term educational programs implemented by Russian universities for African citizens.

At the end of March 2024, a competition was held to finance the educational and cultural-historical tracks of the Summer Multidisciplinary University of RAFU (LMU RAFU), which has traditionally been held by RAFU member universities since 2022 with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The original goal of LMU RAFU was to provide support to foreign graduates of Russian universities who are already working in African countries, which should contribute to strengthening cooperation between Russia and the states of the continent in the field of education, science and economic development.

Since 2024, LMU educational programs are targeted educational programs aimed at improving the qualifications of African citizens for the further implementation of joint Russian-African educational and scientific projects.

Number of programs and students of the Summer Multidisciplinary University of RAFU by year

This year, 2025, preference in the competition was given to practice-oriented programs aimed at developing an already implemented or developed Russian-African project, for the successful implementation of which it is necessary to improve the qualifications of specialists. Participation of industrial partners in the implementation of the programs was welcomed.
