The Financial University hosted a diploma ceremony for professional retraining graduates from the Republic of Burundi and the State of Burkina Faso, who completed the program "Labor Market and Employment Management." The program was implemented by the Continuing Education Department of the Financial University and the International Business School (IBS), with the active assistance of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment (Rostrud).
Rector of the Financial University Stanislav Prokofiev congratulated the students from the Republic of Burundi and the State of Burkina Faso on successfully completing the program:
"It is gratifying that the Financial University is implementing the program jointly with the Federal Service for Labor and Employment. The students were able to gain a deeper understanding of contemporary challenges and trends in the labor market, employment, and its regulation. Experts from the Financial University noted the high level of training, professionalism, and deep understanding of the topics addressed. I thank you for choosing our university for your studies. We are always glad to see you again within the walls of the Financial University!"
"I want to thank the organizers, represented by the leadership of the Financial University, for the meaningful content — the program was rich not only in lectures and seminars but also in cultural events. We have laid a solid foundation for long-term and fruitful cooperation, and I am confident that ties between Russia, Burkina Faso, and Burundi will continue to strengthen," emphasized Yan Talbatsky, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment.
The professional retraining program "Labor Market and Employment Management" started on September 18, 2025, and included 364 academic hours. During this time, the students completed a rigorous and intensive educational journey: four online modules were completed remotely, and field research was conducted in their home countries.
From April 6 to 14, 2026, an in-person internship took place at the Financial University and its Vladimir branch. Leading experts and scholars in the field of international labor and employment presented to the students as part of the educational program. Their lectures and discussions allowed for a deeper understanding of contemporary challenges and trends in employment and labor market regulation. Special attention in the program was given to project activities. In Vladimir, participants worked in international teams together with moderators from the Financial University and Rostrud to develop practice-oriented projects aimed at improving employment systems, increasing the effectiveness of labor supervision, and developing labor market institutions in their home countries.
Practical visits were an important part of the internship: the students visited the "Starodvorskie Sausages" enterprise and the State Labor Inspectorate of the Vladimir Region, where they were able to learn about real mechanisms of labor organization and monitoring compliance with labor legislation.
The cultural program was equally rich. The guests became acquainted with the historical heritage of Russia by visiting Vladimir — one of the country's oldest cities, part of the Golden Ring of Russia — as well as Suzdal, which has preserved the unique atmosphere of ancient Russian culture. In Moscow, participants visited the Armory Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin — one of the oldest and most significant museums in our country.
