An official visit of the delegation of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov (NArFU) to Takoradi Technical University (Republic of Ghana) took place.

The visit was a logical continuation of the cooperation initiated earlier within the framework of the Summer Multidisciplinary University of the Russian-African Network University (RAFU) "Smart Engineering: From Shared Knowledge to Shared Vision", which took place in September 2024 in Arkhangelsk. It was on the margins of this programme that the Memorandum of Cooperation between NArFU and Takoradi Technical University was signed.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the university's leadership. The Ghanaian side expressed strong interest in developing partnership relations with the Russian university. The parties discussed a wide range of issues, including the implementation of joint educational programmes and courses, academic mobility of teachers and students, as well as joint research and conferences. On behalf of the Ghanaian university, an agreement was signed on joining the Russian-African Network University.

As a result of the working meetings, it was decided to hold a series of online meetings to discuss further cooperation in detail and to appoint contact persons on both sides. The parties agreed to develop a roadmap for cooperation that will allow for the gradual implementation of all planned initiatives. A visit of the leadership of Takoradi Technical University to NArFU in 2027 was also discussed.
