At the Don State Technical University, an international educational program of the RAFU Summer Multidisciplinary University took place.
The opening ceremony marked the start of a large-scale project aimed at strengthening partnership ties and exchanging advanced knowledge.
For two weeks, students from several African countries, including the Republics of Nigeria, Congo, Mozambique, and Guinea, will undergo intensive training at DSTU in a key area for the global economy: "Innovative Technologies in Agriculture and Food Industry." Alongside the educational track, the program includes a course on cultural and historical integration designed to deepen mutual understanding and help participants adapt.
During the educational intensive, master's and doctoral students will familiarize themselves with the advanced developments of DSTU's scientific and teaching staff in critically important fields such as the application of IT technologies in the agro-industrial complex, automation of production processes, food production, and more. The learning process will include lectures and masterclasses by leading university professors and scientists, ensuring the transfer of not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills.
"In 2023, DSTU successfully implemented a similar initiative proving the demand for our programs. Today, we are not just repeating our experience but taking cooperation to a new level. The uniqueness of this intensive lies in its multidisciplinary approach: we combine advanced agrotechnologies with cultural integration, preparing specialists who will not only work efficiently but also become true ambassadors of friendship between our countries," noted Dmitry Rudoy, Dean of the Agro-Industrial Faculty of DSTU.
The holding of the "Summer Multidisciplinary University" at DSTU is carried out in the context of implementing a strategic course to deepen partnership relations between Russia and African countries. Developing such a form of interaction is fundamentally important for increasing human resource capacity, stimulating innovation, and strengthening friendly ties, which ultimately contributes to achieving common goals of sustainable development and prosperity.
"The 'Summer Multidisciplinary University' is not just an educational intensive, but a strategic investment in our common future. We are building bridges of cooperation, combining the scientific potential of DSTU with the ambitions and needs of young African leaders. Our goal is to provide them not only with up-to-date knowledge in agrotechnologies but also to become reliable partners in addressing global food challenges." - Aleksey Beskopylny, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and International Activities at DSTU.
