Tambov State Technical University has launched its Summer multidisciplinary University for teachers, students, and postgraduates from Algeria as part of the Russian-African Network University consortium.
Representatives of the Algerian partner university of TSTU, University of Constantine 3 - Sala Boubnider underwent training in the educational program "Green Innovations in Education and Development," which included lecture courses and master classes in various fields in the areas of architecture, construction, information technology and telecommunications, mechatronics and robotics, and agricultural engineering.
Guests from Africa got acquainted with the practice-oriented training system for students at the Institute of Architecture, Construction, and Transport, the unique equipment and projects of the Department of Radioelectronic and Microprocessor Systems Design, the achievements, developments, and laboratory facilities of the Vernadsky Technopark, and the departments of Mechatronics and Technological Measurements and Computer-Integrated Systems in Mechanical Engineering.
Participants visited the Agrotech production association, one of the Tambov Region's leading manufacturers of spare parts for agricultural machinery.
The cultural part of the program included a guided tour entitled "History of the Tambov Region" at the Tambov Regional Museum of Local Lore, a lecture entitled "Russian Art of the 16th-20th Centuries" at the Tambov Regional Art Gallery, a walking tour of the historic center of Tambov, and a commemorative event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
"For the second year, we have been implementing educational and cultural programs for African universities as part of the RAFU Summer Multidisciplinary University. The Russian-African Network University is a unique consortium that brings together Russian and African universities with the aim of developing Russian-African academic and scientific cooperation, expanding opportunities for interaction between higher education institutions in partner countries in the fields of higher education, research, and scientific and technological progress," commented Elena Mishchenko, Vice-Rector for International Affairs.
